Well chosen art can make a world of difference to a room - it can offer a focal point in a room that is otherwise minimally decorated, but more simply it can bring some colour and personality that is often much needed in a space. And while we say art, that doesn't have to mean massive expense.
If you're not ready to invest in original art, prints and posters can be your best friend, providing a more affordable way into beautiful wall decor in many cases. Luckily for us, Ireland is absolutely teeming with super talented artists and illustrators whose work we'd be only delighted to have adorn our walls.
Choosing art prints to suit you and your space should be fun, but it can feel tricky if you've no idea where to start. Top of your priority list when it comes to art prints should be simply choosing something you love, but other things you should consider are if the print fits with the mood of the room you're buying it for, the decor style you already have, the colours in the print and how they fit with the room, and the size and shape of the print.
Finally, what you need to know is where to look, and where better than a pool of home-grown talent? Here are twelve of our favourite Irish print-makers whose work would look only gorgeous on your walls.
