Planning your next trip to Ikea? Well wait until you get a look at Ikea's stunning new Stockholm collection for 2017 arriving in April. There are 47 new pieces meaning something for everyone, or you could find yourself leaving with the lot.
From the three-seat sofa to the stunning hand-blown glassware there is something for everyone in this collection. And, it looks a whole lot more luxe than its price tag would lead you to believe.
This year's Stockholm collection is inspired by Swedish light and nature while still sticking to good design and affordability, which were the ideals of the first collection 32 years ago. This year the designers are going after our own hearts with a strong focus on comfort and time well spent. It's fitting, following a year when Sweden reduced the hours of the average working day.
Now while we will still be working the same hours, we're looking forward to coming home and falling into one of these cushion clad couches with a book and a nice cup of tea. The Stockholm 2017 couch comes in both a two-seater and three-seater version and there are plenty of gorgeous cushions in the collection too, so you can mix it up and make it your own.
Few people think of handmade products when they think of Ikea, but a lot of this years items are just that. Not only does this mean the design and manufacturing process took time and wasn't rushed, but more importantly means you can head to Ikea and walk away with your own handmade goodies.
Just look at this stunning cabinet which is just one such handmade product available this April. Handmade adds quality and individuality which you may not have expected from Ikea and you can argue with those price points, either.
This year's Stockholm collection will be available in Irish stores from April, just in time for those longer evenings.
