When I visited San Francisco, California last June I got the opportunity to go on a day trip to Carmel. By day trip I mean it took us hours to get there and back and we only had two hours in the idyllic spot, but that's all it took for me to become enchanted with the place. In case you didn't know, Carmel is located south of San Fran and most famously Clint Eastwood was mayor of the town for years and still resides there.
Carmel truly is the place to go if you love interiors. I adored the little fairytale cottages that are right on the edge of the beach and my mam, who's an interior designer (it runs in the family), loved the decor shops which were everywhere.
