We are all about repurposing and reinventing furniture here at House and Home and we are always on the look out for unusual ideas to share with our readers. Today we thought we'd share a few different alternatives to the conventional sink on pedestal for your bathroom.
Here in Brooke Giannetti's beautiful powder room, an antique marble planter sits on an antique Swedish table and now serves as a very unique and stylish sink vanity.
This chippy yellow-painted vintage cabinet has been repurposed into a charming sink vanity in this shabby chic bathroom.
A tired old cabinet has been given a coat of pretty pink paint and some new handles for an ultra girly bathroom. Try Pink Starburst from Johnstone's Paints for a similar shade.
This old chest of drawers has been given a fresh coat of white paint; some new glass cabinet knobs and a sink has been inserted into the top for an unusual French-style sink vanity. You will pick up similar glass cabinet knobs from E-Boutique on Pickit.
This antique table has been repurposed into a his and hers sink vanity unit.
So you see, the sky's the limit when it comes to creating a unique sink vanity - just ensure that the sink you're going to install will fit into or onto the surface of your table or chest of drawers. If your table is very narrow, opt for a sink that comes with taps on it or alternatively use wall-mounted taps to save space on your table.
