Cathy Angelini designed this warm mid-century-style kitchen herself, so it matches her unique style in every way.
Words: Suzie Coen
Cork-based designer and architect Cathy Angelini of Flamingo Design specialises in creating spaces for homeowners that are unique and meaningful. Currently giving her century-old cottage a fresh makeover, the kitchen (which she designed herself) redefines open-plan living by carving out a distinct, separate culinary space – both in feel and design. It’s thoughtful, purposeful, and undeniably her.
“I disregarded the traditional working triangle kitchen style. Instead, I zoned one area for cleaning, the other areas for prepping and cooking – a better use of space”
