River Island have joined the ranks of highstreet favourites who have brought out a range of trend-led homewares, and you're not going to want to miss it. Landing in stores in September, the collection will include a range of soft furnishings, décor accessories, furniture and storage options, with River Island's signature style, and more importantly, price points.
River Island plan to create homeware edits on a trend-by-trend basis to allow for seasonal home updates. They're bringing their fashion chops to the homeware range, which is full of personality. "Style doesn’t end at our clothes. Where we eat, the fragrance we wear and way we decorate our homes says as much about us as our favourite pair of jeans. With this in mind, we wanted to give our customer the chance to bring some of that signature River Island style and personality out of the wardrobe and into their homes," says Dayna Sofair, Head of Homeware Buying for River Island.
The launch collection will focus on three main trends:
- Baby Doll - featuring splashes of bold colour, touches of leopard and ombre, this is the most kitschy and cheeky of the trends. This will include luxe leopard ornaments, conversational prints with a playful aesthetic, lip print cushions, cute slogan candles, textured pastel vases, iridescent sequin beaded cushions and colourful faux furs.
- Electric Opulence - featuring deep teals and burnt reds to create a moody, dark base and a rich, extravagent palette with pops of orange, cobolt, and gold. This trend is full of statement decorative touches from quirky scatter cushions in animal motifs to super soft faux fur rugs, to furniture and flooring, an antique trinket boxes. A luxurious element comes from sumptuous velvets in paisley prints, also.
- New Nordic - Warm neutrals are the basis of this collection, peppered with metallics and geometric influences. You can see the scandi influences in the cosy winter rugs, pouffes and fluffy storage baskets, whilst shimmering golds and contemporary marble bring some modern luxe. Hexagonal side tables, vintage inspired hanging picture frames, agate coasters and book ends add those essential finishing touches.
Prices will range from €10-370, and will be available in select stores and online, while the candles and home fragrance range from €6-43 available in all stores, in September.
