After news broke of Brangelina's break up, Angelina Jolie, it was reported the Maleficent star moved herself and their six kids from their heavily fortified compound in Los Angeles to a rented home 45 miles away. On a high bluff in the Point Dume area of Malibu, the family has taken over a luxury four-bed property owned by X Men writer and director, Bryan Singer.
He bought the property in 2010 for $8.5 million, and Jolie is reported to be renting it, with high-end letting website Luxury Estates listing it for short-term lease at $80,000 per month, or on a nightly basis with a seven-night minimum stay for between $3,400 and $4,200 per night.
The Bali-inspired residence stretches over 4,409 square feet, and had four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a seperate one-bed, one-bath guesthouse. The living spaces are interconnected in the main house, including a hall with an open-tread floating staircase. The ocean-view living and dining rooms are separated by a double-sided fireplace.
The modern kitchen opens to a shaded dining terrace at the side of the house, while there's a sky-lit office, a small media lounge and a home-gym. The grounds offer tree-shaded gardens and sunny flagstone terraces. The property comes complete with a swimming pool and a private path to the beach.
Not too shabby for an interim housing situation, huh? We wouldn't mind swapping with Angelina Jolie right about now.
