The owner of this period home, overlooking an iconic Dublin square, worked closely and collaboratively with designer Sorcha Harman to bring her vision to life.

Homeowner: Emily, American born, in a corporate career setting down Irish roots with her family.
The house: A three-storey Victorian terrace, overlooking Kenilworth Square, Dublin 6.
When Emily, the owner of this Victorian pile, moved in with her family, her objective was clear: to make the building as joyful for her three children as possible and enrich her home with multiple vintage and antique pieces, inherited and collected over her years of travelling.
Enlisting the help of Sorcha Harman from Porcha Design, the renovation took 10 months, with much of the work cosmetic. Emily took a hands-on approach, upcycling accessories and repainting mirrors. She was deeply involved in every step of the project, making it an incredibly collaborative process.
“We often touched base multiple times a day to share fresh ideas, new inspirations, and exciting finds,” says Sorcha. “Whether it was a quirky piece of furniture, an intriguing design concept, or a unique product, we were always bouncing ideas off each other. This constant exchange of creativity made the project feel like a true partnership. I'm so proud of how it all came together."
